The most common scams
- "Real exam questions" for sale. Test content is confidential. What is sold is invented, outdated, or reconstructed from memory — and unusable either way.
- Paid registration services. No intermediary is authorised to book your place. In countries where slots are scarce, this scam is especially aggressive.
- Fake attestations. IRCC verifies results with the issuing body. A forged document does not merely fail — it exposes you to a misrepresentation finding.
- "Online TCF Canada from home." The exam is sat in person at an accredited centre. Any remote offer is fake.
- Guaranteed scores. Nobody can guarantee a result without knowing your level.

What is official
Three reliable markers, all verifiable in a minute:
- The test is designed by France Éducation international, which accredits every centre and publishes the official worldwide directory.
- Registration goes directly through an accredited centre — an Institut français, an Alliance française, or a university depending on the country.
- Score conversion to NCLC is published by IRCC. Any other conversion table is unofficial.

How to choose legitimate preparation
